Why Are Thermal Scanners
Used to Screen COVID-19 at Airports?
International airports have very huge footfalls each day. Verifying every passenger’s and employee’s body temperature using thermometers could turn to be a logistics nightmare and lead to delays at immigration counters and flight time management. Also, these delays could make travelers spend more time on airports than usual which is not an advisable practice. Thermal cameras can scan huge crowds in one go and pick an individual who is scanned with higher temperatures than the rest. Once the airport authorities or the respective assigned individual recognize possible vectors, they can isolate them for further screening.
